Proudly announcing (albeit a little late) that the film we are proud co-producers of 100 LITERS OF GOLD (Sata Litraa Sahtia) has been selected as Finland’s official entry to the 2026 Academy Awards.
By director Teemu Nikki and starring Elina Knihtilä and Pirjo Lonka the film follows two middle-aged sisters in a Finnish village who promise to brew beer for a wedding but end up drinking their entire batch with their friends. In a hilarious 24-hour-race-against-time, they struggle with their hangovers while trying to acquire more beer and save their reputations.
This is a Finnish (It’s Alive Films), Italian (All At Once), and Danish (Smile Entertainment) production and has secured distribution all over the Nordics. We will be distributing it in cinemas in Denmark starting January 15th.
