I “Den blinde mand der ikke gad se Titanic” Jaakko lider af Multipel Sklerose, der har lænket ham til sin kørestol og han er også blevet blind. Men hans optimisme er ukuelig. Han er forelsket i den ligeledes MS-ramte Sirpa, som han dog aldrig har mødt. Sirpa bliver meget ked af sin tilstand, så Jaakko beslutter på stedet at forlade hjemmets sikkerhed og rejse tværs over landet for at trøste hende. For hvor svært kan det egentlig være.
